Meet Our Designers
Diane Johnson
Diane founded her interior design practice, Diane Johnson & Associates, when she moved to Atlanta in 1985. Prior to coming to Atlanta, she owned her own retail and design business in Greenville, South Carolina. A dozen years ago, she opened Diane Johnson Interiors Gifts, featuring home accessories and furniture as well as gifts. Working with builders and developers primarily in residential design, she has clients from Florida to New York. Diane supports the design community by participating in show houses in Atlanta and the surrounding area and has won numerous awards in her 28 years in the design field.
Kelly Nolen Woods
Concentrating on residential design, Kelly specializes in eclectic interiors with a balanced mix of traditional and contemporary elements. She joined Diane Johnson & Associates in 1998, after graduating from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. degree in Interior Design. Since then she’s had the opportunity to collaborate on a number of high-profile design projects benefiting the community, including the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse, the Roswell Women’s Club Showhouse and the Alliance Children’s Theatre Guild Christmas House.
Pam Adams, ASID
Pam strives to create rooms that are warm and inviting, yet comfortable. She believes the most important aspect of interior design is interpreting the clients’ needs so that their homes reflect their personality, not hers. Pam has more than 20 years’ experience as a professional interior designer. She received her design education in Texas, and before joining Diane Johnson & Associates ten years ago, she was a partner in her own design business in Houston. Pam focuses primarily on residential design, but has been involved in commercial projects such as medical offices, restaurants and home and apartment models. She has participated in the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse for four of the past five years.
Erin Stephenson
Erin believes the individual is the most important element of any successful project. She focuses on combining the client’s requirements with a purposeful and aesthetically pleasing design, bringing this approach to her work in every aspect of the residential arena. Erin joined Diane Johnson & Associates in 1999, when she received her B.S. degree in Interior Design from Georgia Southern University. She trained under, and was mentored by, Diane for three years before becoming an independent interior designer with the firm. Erin has participated in the Roswell Women’s Club Showhouse for the past two years and will again be involved in the Spring 2005 event.
Beth Ann Cornwell
Beth Ann strives to achieve a look that reflects the client’s personality and taste. Beginning the design process with an overall plan for the home, she then creates a warm and inviting environment by permeating the design with color and texture. Her skillful use of color was developed through her fine art and color theory studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Moore College of Art & Design, Philadelphia, in 1991. She worked for a design firm in Connecticut for several years before relocating to Atlanta and joining Diane Johnson & Associates in 2001.
Gary Dinger, Floral Design
Gary has been in the floral business nearly all his life, starting when he worked in his parents’ floral shop in Pittsburgh as a teenager. His creative flair led him to an associate degree in interior design from the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh and later to roles managing a Silk Greenhouse store in Florida and as a floral designer for an Orlando decorating firm. He joined Diane Johnson & Associates in 2000. Gary’s elegant, unique style is on display in the arrangments he creates for Diane Johnson Interiors Gifts, as well as in custom orders for the firm’s designers. His first priority, he notes, is to always make sure the client is happy.
